The Hidden Sea is a modern wine brand with an extraordinary story of underground caves, ancient terra rosa soil and a marine fossil 26 million years old.

Our task was to build an immersive website that both narrated this story and delivered a shopping experience for the young adventurous wine consumer.

Jon Contino, the artist behind the brand packaging was commissioned and directed to bring the story to life. His sequence of monotone illustrations guide the viewer through the story with a simple parallax experience to engage and entertain.

The shopping section uses a vivid photography style, art directed to showcase the flavor profiles of each variety, framing the bottle with the key ingredients and allowing viewers to taste what they see.
